Scope

Purpose

A 3px Shadow Horizontal and Shadow Vertical applied to a 30x30px image, scaled to 500%

This property specifies the number of pixels by which any shadow affect applied to the parent page object should be shifted down.

By default, if you apply a Shadow Blur the 'shadow' is automatically shifted by 2px to the right and down, and so any Shadow Vertical value will be added to this. However, if you apply do not apply a Shadow Blur then the Shadow Vertical is treated as an absolute value. This is illustrated in the graphic on this page, where (only) a 3px Shadow Horizontal and a 3px Shadow Vertical is applied to a 30x30px image. Here, a solid 'shadow' of the exact same size as the object is shown, shifted 3px to the right and 3px down.
