Scope
- Book Page content object > Placeholder object
Purpose
The Placeholder Book Page object is effectively a specialized Text object that only contains a specific item of related information. (The primary difference between a Text object and a Placeholder object is that a Text Box has a Text property whereas the Placeholder has a Placeholder property instead.)

Available Actions
The following Actions can be selected for a Placeholder object when it is used as the target of a triggered event:
- Animate In: Display the Placeholder object using the method defined in the Placeholder object's Animate In Effect property.
- Animate Out: Hide the Placeholder object using the method defined in the Placeholder object's Animate Out Effect property.
- Animate Toggle: Show the Placeholder object if it is currently hidden, or hide it if it is currently displayed, using the Placeholder object's Animate In Effect or Animate Out Effect property as appropriate.
- Hide: Hide the Placeholder object (immediately, without regard to its Animate Out Effect property).
- Show: Show the Placeholder object (immediately, without regard to its Animate In Effect property).
- Toggle: Hide or show the Placeholder object (immediately).
