Hi, I’ve prepared a quiz but when I publish it as scorm and upload to LMS both instances: Demo and Test are displayed to the user. How should I publish the scorm file so that only the Test instance is displayed in LMS? Is there some setting I’m missing?
Remove or hide the Demo mode before generating the SCORM package.

Hi Dirk,
Since the System Admin had added an new trainer 10.5.9.90 to an ongoing work, my recordings are not getting captured properly. The Edit field and Click field are neither capturing the text nor the action area correct.
Kindly guide me how should I rectify this.

(I saw the first message; I’ve just been busy all day). I’ve been running 10.5.9.90 for a couple of weeks now without issue – everything is still being recorded OK. What application are you recording, and using what profile? The profile is usually the key thing here. If it is the same recording profile that used to work before, but now it doesn’t, I’d suggest opening an incident with SAP.
My profile is SAPUI5 and I am using SAP FIORI Application. I have been using the same profile for recording. This issue started coming just from last two days. Unable to determine the reason.
Check that scripting is still enabled on the S/4 system (server setting).

Question about SCORM publish, I am not able to open the documents generated from the sim. Says cannot find file…, make sure the path is correct. Please help, this is for a high-profile client and am vary of taking it to their IT team before exhausting options at my end.

Did you rename the documents at all?? If the document has been created as an asset under the simulation object, and the whole thing is in the SCORM package, it should be available. Are you just linking to it from the simulation or just letting it appear as as sub-object (like the play modes)? Do you see it in wherever you’ve loaded the SCORM package to? Email me some screenshots. dirk@enablenowexpert.com.
No I did not. They are right under the sim object, but I’m guessing not a part of the SCORM package. I had to manually place them in the “project” folder for them to work. Any idea why they dont get included in the package?

Even though, I published my simulation in Manager, I am unable to find pub tag in the start link. It’s still wa (Only for authors). Can you please explain me why ?
In Manager, locate the All Tag option in the upper-right, and select Published from the drop-down. This will then change the Workarea to show only published content, and the Start Link will include the published tag.

Well you can certainly do it, but whether it makes sense or not depends on your use-case. Personally I would not recommend not saving to the server. Ever.
Hi – We have published several MP4 videos in Enable Now (on premise version) using the steps below. The video links are good and they begin playing, but then they just randomly stop playing and close themselves down at different points throughout the videos……sometimes within 2 or 3 minutes and at other times after 8 or 9 minutes of playing. The videos are all mostly about 50 – 65 minutes long. Other people have also experienced this issue. Steps on how we published the videos.
1. Click New Object.
2. Click Media Object.
3. Select the MP4 video.
4. Save to server and finish editing to publish the video.
5. Sync to server.

So the videos were created outside of SAP Enable Now, and imported as Media Objects. Do they play OK outside of SEN (i.e. before you import them)? With Media Objects, SEN is basically just passing them to whatever ‘helper application’ on your PC (or in your browser) handles that particular type of file – there’s no ‘in-built’ media player. So my guess would be that the issue is with the media player not SEN. What player are you using, and can it handle such large files? Check that to see if there’s any settings you can adjust, especially around buffering. The only thing that can ‘go wrong’ from SEN’s side is network speed / buffering – and that’s largely out of direct control of SAP Enable Now. Videos can be fairly large files (especially hour-long videos), depending on the resolution. If you have the option you can try reducing the filesize by using a slightly lower resolution, and/or using mono audio. It could be that the media player is getting ‘overwhelmed’ with the amount of data being pushed into it and is basically choking and shutting down. A lower resolution/framerate might help there.

Hi, Marilyn. There’s a couple of ways you can do this. You can create an actual .exe file, or you can publish (a section of) the Trainer to an external web server (has to bee a web server – running IIS or Apache). You can get to both options by right-clicking on an object (simulation, Group, Book…) and selecting Publish Selected Object from the shortcut menu, then choose the appropriate Type. The other settings will depend on the type; it’s fairly obvious from there on. HTH, Dirk
While editing filters in Producer, I came across three options. But I cannot understand the first one (i.e. Generate Prefiltered Library with filtered). Can you help me ?
