Most likely because the Master Authors role has Workarea-level permissions on those Workareas. You can check via Administration ? Workareas and Tags > Permissions.

Have you ever tried to add emojis in simulation bubbles? I tried to add emoji in start/end page simulation template to make the simulations more attractive.
I copied the emoji from external website and added it. But its visible in the editor not during playback.
No, I haven’t tried but it doesn’t surprise me that it doesn’t work, as emojis use a specialized character set not supported by all fonts/platforms. My suggestion, if you really want to use emojis, is save image versions of them (capture using SnagIt or similar) and then load these images into SAP Enable Now as Media Objects that you can then insert into your texts as required.

Well, it would be the general Authoring access (specifically Content:Create and Content:Edit) at the object level, but more likely they are missing a Workarea-level permission of Create, Edit, and Delete Content. Check what is different between this user and others who can Save to Server.

Yes they are. There is rumor they may be used in the new version of SAP Companion / … for Desktop, but whether that is in the 2311 rework or a future release I don’t know. Roles are also used in the Learning Center, but I don’t know if that will be superseded by the new Business Roles feature in 2311 (probably not).

The context information of a Fiori app changes when I click few crucial options in that application. [I observed this behaviour by looking into URL]. So do I need to use two contexts? [In my case, due to some reasons, producer is not capturing the context information automatically so I need to add them manually for SAP Companion content].
For SAP Companion Guided Tours? If you’re lucky (same app just a different set of parameters on it) it will all work OK. If it is a different app I think you will have to wait for Application Spanning to be supported (in this next release, I think). You can’t manually add Context for Guided Tours (well, you can add it but it won’t be recognized).

Oh, OK. Well for simulations it should all be captured automatically – but if it is not (e.g. you are using VDI) then yes you will need to enter it manually. For Fiori you typically need the text immediately following the # but before any ? following that. So for a URL of

1. In the producer, when I copy the Start Link of “Published View” of a simulation, it is not having /~tag/published/ in it, though I have published the simulation from producer. So do I need to take the published link only from manager?
2. Is it possible to increase size of screenshots only in SEN documents? I tried to change the size of width and height in the documentation view of simulation but the screenshot’s picture quality is getting broken.

1. Yes, SAP changed (‘simplified’) the format a while back – as long as the URL has /pub/ in it, you are OK.
2. So you want to change the size of the included image (and not just change the crop size)? Generally this is constrained by the document itself (i.e. page with / column width depending on the document – although even 100% width seems to only take up 85% which I have reported as a bug…) so you may need to change the boundaries in the document. Other than that, you can see if changing the Documentation Settings > Screenshots > Scaling makes a difference…

Poor design! I always end up putting an Active Area over the top of each BPM object where I want to do this, but it is annoying as I think most of the time it would be more useful to link to a simulation. I created a Customer Influence Request to ask for exactly this functionality – you can go and vote for it here (S* ID required…). You could use the Attachment feature, but that’s not really as intuitive.

Hi, Ram: Yes, they are required, just like the Simulation Start / Simulation End macros are required for simulations. They contain certain control information, and have a few settings you can specify. You can find a few basic templates on the Info Center, under Content and Templates > Quiz Templates.

Ohh, sorry – my mistake. I thought you were referring to the Simulation Start macro as the first macro and the Simulation End macro as the last one – and you absolutely need those (they will automatically be created if they don’t exist). The Quiz Section Begin and Quiz Section End macros are only necessary if you want to (1) shuffle the questions within the section, and/or (2) show x random questions picked from the section. If you just want every question to be shown, in the order they appear in the project, then no you do not need them.

If you need a profile for an application that there currently is no pre-built profile for, you can ask SAP. Depending on how popular the application is, it may or may not be prioritized to happen soon… If it is a standard application and you are just missing that profile, SAP can probably provide you with a new copy.
