  1. Hello Dirk,
My team member is in China and she is unable to launch manager in her SEN cloud system. Its keep on loading the homepage for hours. This is the case with all Chinese members. The manager accessed from India is working well. Is this issue has to do anything with data centers?

    1. Yes, most likely because of where the SAP Enable Now system is hosted (each cloud SEN system is located on a single server somewhere, and is not replicated / load-balanced anywhere. You could look into Akamai, but it’s a paid service… Although because this is China, there could be an additional delay while the traffic is being run through various filters or other limiters…

  2. Hi Dirk,

I want to record a simulation like “Browser Content Area” resolution. Can you please help me with the right “Size Preset” or “Content Size”?

  3. I opened a quiz in the editor and click the PDF icon and I saw only two document types (namely Standard Document and Work Document). When I generated Standard Document, it looked disordered.

The documents generated from simulations are looking fine.

    1. Yes, they are the only two available by default. Like I say, it looks acceptable to me, but if you want it to look different, customize the Word document template.

  4. Why the documents generated from quiz are looking improper ? Do I need to create a separate doc template for the quiz?

    1. ‘Improper’ how? If I generate a Standard Document from the Project Editor it looks acceptable… You could always define your own Word Template and/or Documentation Style, but again, the Standard Document is acceptable – and includes an option to include the answers in case you need an ‘teacher copy’.

  5. Hello,
How to crop the recording area before recording simulations if I record from manager? I can change Content Size option but its not showing the crop on the screen.
If I record from producer, I can select Region option as Recording Area then I can manually crop.

    1. You’re using the (new) Web Recorder? If you select a Size Preset (or define a Custom Size) and click Apply Size, it will resize the selected browser window to fit that space. There’s no ‘Browser Content Area’ option, but everything else is basically the same.

  6. Is there any keyboard shortcut to playback simulation from WYSIWYG editor? I checked Tools -> Keyboard Settings but it is not having any.

    1. You can set a shortcut in Keyboard Settings > Tools > Preview from here. That will preview from the current step – same as double-clicking on the Step in the thumbnail pane.

  7. Greetings!!
Why “root” is always appearing in Administration -> Workarea and Tags -> -> Manage Access of Selection list? Can I keep the root or remove it?

    1. The root OU (as distinct from the server content root Group) is really ‘everyone’, and is usually added to your default Workarea with Workarea permissions of View Published Content just so everyone has read access to thew Workarea. You could remove it, but then you’ll (probably) need to add “Learners” and all other roles that need access to the Workarera. (As a tip, you can rename the root OU to [e.g.] “Everyone” and it makes its purpose a bit more obvious. – Just remember to change it in Server Settings > User Management as well.)

  8. Hello,
What is the meaning of “Requested” and “Available” in Context Information of a screen in SAP Companion? Do I need to verify them as both values are same always?

    1. “Requested” is the context information the application sends to SAP Enable Now, effectively asking “Hey, I am looking for help matching this…” and “Available” is SAP Enable Now replying to say “OK, I have this help you can use…”. Normally they will be exactly the same.

    1. How do you mean? If you apply a Glossary to your simulations then you will see the relevant terms turned into hotspots. You can also display a Glossary in the Trainer by specifying your Glossary group in the Playback Settings > Library > Glossary settings.

    1. Yes, I’ve always managed to get autoStartTour to work in S/4, but that’s the distinction the official documentation makes.
