Dirk,
It takes a lot of time to generate a compound document and synchronizing a massive number of contents to producer. Does it has to do anything with the speed of processor of my machine? My laptop is i5. If I switch to i7, can I see higher speed in these processes?
So in this case, can we skip the instant machine translation and directly translate the courses and assign it to learners? Is my assumption correct?
Yes, we have it set to the new Workarea.
Well if the ONLY thing that has changed is the Workarea specified on the dataUrlSEN2 parameter, then it should work – assuming permissions are the same in the new Workarea, it has the same content in it, and this content is published. For anything else, it would require some research, so it would be best to engage a Consultant.
On the newly created Workare Contact Help isn‘t working. On the old Workarea Contact Help was working. What can I configurate so the SAP companion works on motiv on SAP (only works on standard).
I’m not sure what you are asking here – see my response to your previous question and see if that helps. If not, please ask again.
Hello, not sure if this question has been asked but going to ask! How can you remove the Author name that is generated when producing documentation? I have uploaded my own new custom document style that my documentation setting hands-on guide pulls from. But despite removing it on the .dot that I upload, the Author still shows up on the bottom left corner.
You’re not removing it in the correct place, then. Check which template is being used by the document type you are generating, then change that .dot file. You’ll need to display the footer, toggle field codes on, and then delete the field code. Then save/upload/publish your edited .dot file, and re-generate the document.
Hello,
What is needed to configurate to SAP Companion, so that it runs above SAP? If you create Guided Tour without any motiv there won‘t jump any help icon. The help icon is jumping on the previous workarea, unfortunately on the new one it isn‘t.
Thank you for feedback.
You have changed the Workarea you use for your help content? Then you need to update the SAP system to point to your new Workarea.
Hi sir,
I think instant machine translation is slower. I have tested it in a high speed internet environment, still the slide of the simulation moves to the next slide in four seconds (default timing) where it takes two seconds for translation so there is no time for the learners to read a slide in the translated language.
Hello,
Is there a possibility to create a copy of already existing workarea?
Sorry, no. There is no ‘duplicate’ feature. You can Export everything and import it into a new Workarea, but that’s it.
In book pages, sometimes the click on button (a shape object button called “Next” which should go to next page upon a click) is not working on its first click. Had to click two or three times to make it work. Any idea on how to resolve this?
I don’t know what would be causing this. Maybe the code for the action is taking longer to load. Try clearing your browser cache. Failing that, if it is happening frequently, you could open a ticket and get SAP to look at it. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Thank you, Dirk. Indeed, Companion can serve full DAP role (direct bubble overlaying the screen) but TT-S has this step-by-step feature, check out the video on this page – https://www.tt-s.com/en/digital-adoption-solutions/tts-performance-suite-for-sap-s4hana, I have some insights in terms of pricing and I made a comparison of features for the purpose of SAP S/4HANA greenfield implementation, let me know if you wish to check out, can send via email.
Well, yes, it gives you step-by-step instructions, but they are confined to the panel on the right – the individual steps aren’t overlaid on the actual application screen, pointing to the exact object, and advancing as you compete steps, the way they are in SAP Enable Now. See here.
