I have a question, I need to implement Desktop Assistant for a web application built in Azure. I could make the simulation but it didn’t bring the context information, and when I turn on the Desktop Assistant and open the web app the light bulb does not appear.
How can i add the context information, could you help me?

For simulations, the only way to get that context in there is for it to be captured during recording. If it didn’t capture the context at all then you are going to have to find a way to record at least one step/screen where it does capture the context. Check the recording profile you’re using, and/or make sure scripting is enabled in SAPGui.
If I use “Region” as Browser Content Area, red coloured “Busy” bar is getting captured in the recorded screenshots of the simulation. Can you please tell me how to avoid this?

It should automatically move the recording area down and out of the way – or you can drag it yourself before confirming. If it doesn’t, this may be because there’s not enough space on the screen. In this case, just minimize the recording bar out of the way; it will be accessible from the Systray, but if all you need to do is stop recording, you can use Shift+Alt+S even when it is not visible.

You can edit the PowerPoint template to increase the size of the image placeholder, but that’s it.
Is SSO must needed to enable SAP Companion for Fiori apps?

It’s not strictly necessary (in that it can work without it), but if it’s not switched on then users will be prompted to log on to SAP Enable Now every time they log on to the target application, and that will likely confuse them (as they just logged on). I really would not recommend using SAP Companion without SSO being enabled.
Just I am curious to know what is the use of Tools -> Settings -> Playback Settings -> General -> Page Style -> Page Color ? The “Background Color” property changes the background color of simulations. But Page color?

When I referenced a group, I can see there are correct reference counter numberings on the group and not on simulations present under the group. Why?

You mean the Content Reference Counter, or the Structure Reference Counter? Structure will show how many ‘parents’ an object has, so if the sims are within a single Group, even if the Group is present in multiple places, the sims will still just show “1”.
Why auto crop and manual crop are applicable only for documents and not for simulations? Is there any way to get simulations cropped? I can edit the screenshot to an extent using Paint but ……
Because auto-crop and manual crop are specifically setting the area of the screen that will be included in the document; they have absolutely nothing to do with simulation playback. And I would strongly advise against ever changing the dimensions of the actual screenshot (e.g. by cropping it in Paint) – you’ll mess up a lot of things that way.
Thank you Dirk! Yes, tried every way of generating these docs. Anyways, thanks again for the help and I will get some in-house help to work with m.svg file but looks like the mouse pointer is not such a showstopper with my client as of now.

For documents – All of us are facing this issue, each person getting this error at different points in time and I was the last one to be affected. We did raise a ticket with SAP. This was their response:
“This is a known bug, a fix is expected for the 2405 release of SEN.”
For mouse pointer – It is not the arrow that I want to get rid of, I (rather the client) want(s) no other icon appearing other than the arrow. I am not able to attach an image here to show what the click action looks like and what part of the icon we do not need.

Documents: Well, that sucks. What are you supposed to do – just generate no documents for 4 months? I’m assuming you’ve tried generating from the Workarea as well as from the Editor, and neither method works? And it is all document types? FWIW it works fine for me, so chances are it is something specific to your environment.
Mouse pointer: OK, well this is a bit tricky, but if you really want to have ‘only the arrow’ (and not the mouse icon, or the number showing how many times the mouse clicks) you will need to edit the m.svg file that you can find within the relevant Trainer Adaptable Resource, and edit the images. This is 100% unsupported (SAP won’t help if you break it in the process), and you may need to re-do the changes after every release, if SAP overwrites them as part of the update (I’m not sure, but changing files in the file system is never guaranteed) but if that’s what the client wants, and they’re willing to pay for it…

I would like to create a simulation of the producer with Enable Now to explain our standard authors some functionalities. Unfortunately I cannot select the producer window when starting a simulation.
Do you know a possibility to do a simulation of the producer with the producer?
