Within Book Pages Text objects, Active Area objects, and Shape objects can often be used interchangeably, as they support many of the same features, and can be designed to look the same to users. To help you decide which one to use in any given scenario, the following table provides a side-by-side comparison of the properties available for each. Property names are hyperlinked to the Enable Now Wiki, in case you’re not sure what they do.
Hi Dirk. I am able to use the rotation property on shapes but can’t find a way to change the orientation of the text from horizontal to vertical to match the shape. If I try to use a text box, there isn’t a rotation property. Is there a way to rotate or change text orientation on a book page. I am hoping you can help me. Thank you.
David: Unfortunately, that’s not possible. It’s one of a few glaring omissions from the product that I have been trying to get SAP to provide for years. There’s a Customer Improvement Request for it here, if you want to vote on it, and show there’s continued demand for it. But I wouldn’t expect a resolution any time soon. Sorry. Also complain to your CEE, and make sure they know customers want this.
